For one of our clients, a European Institution located in Luxembourg Kirchberg, Sofitex Talent is currently looking for an:



Senior Risk Reporting Officer



Reporting line

The professional reports to the Head of the Risk Reporting and Data Unit, who in turn reports to the Head of Portfolio Risk Management and Surveillance Division. You will collaborate closely with senior members of the unit, Risk Office (RO) colleagues, and any other relevant services.



Purpose

The Senior Risk Reporting Officer will play a pivotal role in delivering a portfolio of business-critical migration and digitalisation projects within the Risk Reporting & Data Unit. This position is created to contribute to the team’s projects, with a focus on the successful migration of databases, implementation of new reporting tools, and automation of risk data processes.



Responsibilities

At a level commensurate with their experience and seniority, the Senior Risk Reporting Officer will contribute across four key areas:

Project Delivery & Migration

•              Lead and execute the migration of multiple databases (e.g., RSM PD, ABS ECAP, Securitisation) to the Group Data Warehouse (GDWH), including data validation, reconciliation, and documentation.

•              Coordinate and follow up on IT migration tickets, collaborating with IT and business stakeholders to resolve issues and ensure smooth project progress.

•              Develop and maintain new Business Objects (BO) and Power BI reports, including scenario uploads, reconciliation dashboards, and testing of migrated data points.

•              Support the implementation of new IT approaches for risk reporting, including the governance, development, and testing of Power BI reports.



Data Quality & Exception Management

•              Design and implement workflows for exception management in Data Quality (DQ) processes, including guideline documentation and portal testing.

•              Monitor data quality performance via dashboards, track issues, and coordinate resolution efforts with relevant teams.

•              Upload and validate input screens for regulatory data sets (e.g., ECAP, RAC EaR, ABS Amortisation).



Metadata & Documentation

•              Manage metadata upload and governance in IGC, including the creation and review of DG Templates for multiple portfolios.

•              Document business rules, procedures, and technical terms related to migration projects, ensuring clarity and accessibility for all stakeholders.



Stakeholder Collaboration

•              Act as a project liaison between the Risk Office, IT, and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of migration and digitalisation initiatives.

•              Communicate project progress, risks, and issues to relevant stakeholders, including senior management.

Required profile

•              A minimum of 3 years’ relevant professional experience in investment funds, banking, asset management, financial audit, consultancy, or regulatory bodies.

•              Proven expertise in delivering data migration, digitalisation, or process automation projects in a financial or regulatory environment.

•              Strong knowledge of risk frameworks (e.g., Risk Appetite Framework, Pillar III disclosures, securitization/equity methodologies).

•              Advanced proficiency in MS Office and data tools (e.g., Business Objects, Power BI).

•              Solid understanding of BCBS 239 principles for risk data aggregation and reporting.

•              Familiarity with risk metrics such as capital, leverage, and liquidity, and expertise in portfolio analysis and performance monitoring.

•              Advanced proficiency in MS Office and data tools (e.g., Business Objects).

•              Excellent English communication skills (written and spoken).

•              Knowledge of additional EU languages is an asset.



This is an opportunity for an initial contract of 2 months, with possible extensions afterwards.

Salary ranges between 4,520€ and 6,460€ gross per month, depending on experience.
